ATTICA — Audrey (Lape) Kemble, 81, died March 22, 2007 in the home of her daughter, Penny. She was born in November 1925 in Canalou, Mo., the daughter of John and Celia Lape. She married Lawrence Kemble June 16, 1946. He preceded in death in April 1993. She was raised in Warren County and graduated from West Lebanon High School. She lived most of her life in Lafayette and the past six years in Friendship House in West Lafayette. She was a member of Family Church of God. She enjoyed Bible study with her church family, playing guitar, learning the dulcimer and organ, gardening, quilts and traveling. She loved to watch butterflies and cardinals. Survivors include: Penny (John) Hatke, Attica, Olivia (Tom) Richardson, Thorntown, and Jeffrey E. Kemble, West Lafayette; a sister, Marie Kemble, Allen Park, Mich.; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and her beloved Bichon, Mr. Cotton. She was also preceded by her parents; three brothers, James Lape, Owen Lape, Paul Lape; three sisters, Lillian Beardsley, and two infant sisters, Dorthea and Lula; and a grandson, Daniel Joseph. Funeral services were Monday in Soler-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette, with burial in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to Southern Care Hospice, 180 Professional Court, Lafayette, Ind. 47905. – jlr
